Ortenberg Castle
Ortenberg Castle is the landmark of Ortenau and is located above the village of Ortenberg at the end of the Kinzig valley between Offenburg and Gengenbach.
The origins of Ortenau Castle go back to a castle from the 11th / 12th centuries. Ortenau Castle was originally built by the Zähringer family to protect the Kinzig Valley; today there is a youth hostel in Ortenberg Castle. (Source: Wikipedia)
